Used as an additive to compost and soils to improve aeration and drainage. It is inert, sterile and has a neutral pH. Made from natural rock that is crushed and heated to nearly 1000 degrees C. Perlite is a light, course growing medium that offers good aeration so roots can expand and grow easily.
Min/Max granule size range for 90% of the product: 1-6mm
Use
Perlite has a few uses, but the main use is to mix it with your growing media, ie soil or a coco fibre. Mix to around 30% perlite for a light airy mix, this should make it easier for good root growth with the benefit of helping to resist compaction.
